Flowers of the Meadow

Greetings from the coast of Maine.

Wreaths are where it all began. In 1986, on my first date with David who eventually became my husband (that's a long story. Seven years long to be exact!), he saw a wreath in my house that I had made and thought it was exceptional. So much so, that soon, I was making them as fast as I could for his Crabtree & Evelyn stores.

Months later, while on vacation in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, I thought about how much I would love to have a store of my own featuring my wreaths and arrangements along with ribbon, dried flowers, soaps & toiletries and gifts. By the time we arrived home to Cincinnati, we had a name and a plan. And in no time, Flowers of the Meadow was born.

After 18 wonderful years, we moved to Maine where I opened a new shop in Blue Hill and shortened the name to "The Meadow." All these years later, handmade wreaths and arrangements are still my favorite part of the business! I make them one at a time using premium materials and hand-tied ribbons. All my wreath bases are made in Maine using locally gathered materials such as grapevine, blueberry and birch Since each wreath and arrangement is made by hand they will vary slightly. Quantities are limited. Have a look!

And just in case you missed out the first time around Pink Picasso kits are back in stock!

More later from The Meadow,
